There are three ways to power cycle / reboot the robot:
- Press and hold the HOUSE button for 15 seconds. The robot will shut down and start up again. If the robot was connected to Wi-Fi, it will automatically try to reconnect. Network re-connection takes anytime between 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on network signal strength.
- Open the dirt bin and push the power switch UP to turn OFF the robot. This will disconnect the battery power. Reconnect the robot to battery power by pushing the power switch DOWN to ON. Put the dirt bin back. Press the HOUSE button for 3 seconds to wake up the robot. If the robot does not wake up, put the robot on the charge base to recharge. If the robot was connected to Wi-Fi, it will automatically try to reconnect. Network re-connection takes anytime between 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on network signal strength.
NOTE: If you plan on storing and not using the robot for an extended period of time, you should turn the power switch OFF. This will help save battery life and prevent damage to the battery.
- Use the robot control panel to Shutdown the robot, press SELECT button to get to the Main Menu. Choose SETTINGS and SHUTDOWN ROBOT. The robot must not be attached to the charge base. When in Shutdown mode, the robot cannot communicate with the Neato app. Turn the robot back on by pressing the HOUSE button for 5 seconds. If the robot was connected to Wi-Fi, it will automatically try to reconnect. Network re-connection takes anytime between 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on network signal strength.
IMPORTANT: When you power cycle a connected robot, its clock is automatically set after it re-connects to the network. If you are not using your robot with the app, you need to reset the time manually so there is no interruption in the robot’s cleaning schedule.
NOTE: In shutdown mode the robot will continue to discharge a small amount of battery power. If the robot is in Shutdown mode for an extended period of time the battery may completely discharge. If that happens, put the robot on the charge base and recharge overnight.
