Please make sure that you have followed these steps correctly. How to connect the Botvac Connected to:
If you have not had success connecting your robot, try the following:
STEP 1: Check your Wi-Fi Router Information:
- Make sure your wireless router is either 2.4GHz or a dual band router that is configured to support 2.4GHz. Botvac Connected does not support the 5GHz band. See information here to find out how to determine if your router supports the 2.4GHz band.
- Verify you have the correct password for your network. If you are trying to connect to a Hidden Network, make sure you have the correct network name, SSID, and that the network is 2.4GHz. Also note that the SSID is case sensitive.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi router firewall and port settings allow your Neato robot to connect to the Neato servers.
STEP 2: Make sure your robot Wi-Fi access point is ON:
- Power cycle your robot
- Open the dirt bin.
- Push the Power Switch UP to turn OFF robot.
- Push Power Switch DOWN to turn ON robot.
- If the icon in the top corner of the home screen is: , then the robot Wi-Fi access point is ON and you should go to STEP 3.
- If there is no icon in the top left corner of the Home screen then your robot Wi-Fi is OFF, do the following to turn it ON:
- Press SELECT button under the Home screen to go to the Main Menu.
- Choose Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Turn Wi-Fi ON.
- Return to Home screen by pushing BACK button twice
- If the icon in the top left corner of the Home screen is , then the robot Wi-Fi access point is ON and you can go to STEP 3
- If you see this icon ✖ or this icon in the top left corner of the Home screen, then do the following:
- Reset the robot Wi-Fi: Please take the Neato off the charge base. With the square edge of the robot facing you, push the right, side bumper into the robot and at the same time, with your left hand, press the CLEAN House button. Hold both for about 15 seconds until the robot re-boots – the lights of the robot and LCD screen will turn off and the robot will automatically turn back on.
- Do the following to turn the robot Wi-Fi ON so it is setup as a Wi-Fi access point:
- From Home screen press the SELECT button to get to the Main Menu. Choose Settings, and then choose Wi-Fi. Click the box next to Wi-Fi.
- From Home screen press the SELECT button to get to the Main Menu. Choose Settings, and then choose Wi-Fi. Click the box next to Wi-Fi.
- Reset the robot Wi-Fi: Please take the Neato off the charge base. With the square edge of the robot facing you, push the right, side bumper into the robot and at the same time, with your left hand, press the CLEAN House button. Hold both for about 15 seconds until the robot re-boots – the lights of the robot and LCD screen will turn off and the robot will automatically turn back on.
Hit the back button twice. You should see this icon in upper left corner on the Home screen.
STEP 3: Use Neato App to Connect the Robot:
- Go through the Connect a Robot process on your Neato app again.
