When your robot is set up properly at its charge base and charging correctly, the MyNeato app indicates that the robot is charging and the battery LED is slightly pulsing on the robot.
Troubleshooting steps
If this is not the case, the following troubleshooting steps should fix the issue.
- Make sure the robot is turned off (no lights show), then remove it from the charge base. If lights still are on, hold down the start button until the lights go out.
- Unplug the cable from the outlet and from the charge base.
- Next, press the metal/silver bars at the front of the charge base and gently shake the base. Listen if you hear any loose parts inside. If you do, please reach out to our Customer Support.
- If you hear no rattling noise, wipe the metal/silver bars on the charge base and on the back of the robot with a dry cloth or a paper towel.
- Plug the cable back into the charge base and the outlet. Make sure it is plugged in firmly. Ensure that the outlet is providing the base with power by first testing it with another device.
- Put the robot a few inches away from the charge base and push the robot towards the base. The metal bars on the robot should slightly be pressed against the metal bars on the charge base.
- The robot should now start charging. It might take 3 minutes before the battery LED lights up.
- If the issue still persists, try pressing the Play/Power button for 5-10 seconds until the light shows. Next, you will hear a musical chime indicating that the robot has turned on.
The robot is charging when the battery LED starts slowly pulsing in either red, yellow, or green. The battery is fully charged once the LED is shining green without flashing.
