If the robot starts the clean from its charge base, the Neato robot will find the charge base when it needs to recharge or when it finishes cleaning.
This article describes the steps you can take when your robot cannot find its charge base or when it can find them but has trouble connecting to it.
Robot cannot find its charge base
- If the robot starts away from its base, it will not be able to locate the charge base. You need to manually put it back on the charge base.
- The robot started from the base but cannot find its way back. The charge base might be located in a narrow passage, hidden behind a door or under a piece of furniture and the robot has trouble finding it. Choose a different location to set up the charge base and test again.

- The error is most likely related to the sensors. Clean the sensors for best performance.
Should the issue still persist, reset the robot.
Next, start a new cleaning run from the charge base to test if the robot turns back after finishing cleaning. For testing, you can do so in a small room where the robot will finish quicker.
