Vorwerk takes the feedback and concerns of Neato customers seriously and has therefore examined what best can be done for them following the discontinuation of Neato cloud services. Although the Neato devices remain functional and can be used manually even without these services, Vorwerk has decided to extend its voluntary exchange program to Neato robots purchased within the last three years.
Customers in Europe who purchased a Neato robot since May 2023, following the announcement of the company's closure three years ago, and who actively used the cloud features, will receive a free, current Kobold VR7 robotic vacuum cleaner in exchange for their Neato device.
This initiative is a voluntary measure by Vorwerk without any legal obligation and reflects our commitment to customer satisfaction and the high standards we set for the customer experience. In this context, we have decided to take a pragmatic approach if these highest standards could not be fully met.
Neato Robotics Europe GmbH expressly thanks the Vorwerk Group for its offer: "We welcome this exceptional gesture from Vorwerk and its commitment to supporting our Neato customers."
Neato was a US-based company acquired by the Vorwerk Group that ceased operations in May 2023 after failing to achieve sustainable economic success as an independent entity. While the discontinuation of Neato Cloud services—as decided by Neato and announced in October 2025—is limited to this company and has no impact on other Vorwerk brands or product lines, we have decided to take steps to support affected Neato customers.
