Resetting Your Neato Robot: Quick Guide
If your Neato robot isn’t responding, behaving erratically, or won’t connect properly to the MyNeato app, a manual reset might help restore its functionality.
Follow the guide below based on your robot’s battery level. Let’s get it back up and running!
Option 1: Robot Has Enough Battery Power
- Press and hold the power button until the robot’s lights turn off.
- Release the button, then wait about 10 seconds.
- Press the power button again to restart your robot.
After restarting, your robot may reconnect automatically to the app and Wi-Fi network.
Option 2: Robot Battery Is Empty
- Place the robot on its charging base.
- Wait until the LED lights turn on to confirm it’s charging.
- Now press and hold the power button until the lights turn off.
- Release the button, wait briefly, then press again to reboot
When to Use These Steps
- After firmware updates or app connectivity issues
- If the robot freezes or fails to respond to commands
- When troubleshooting navigation or performance problems
Troubleshooting Tips
- Make sure the charging base is plugged in and positioned correctly.
- Try the reset with the robot on a flat surface away from obstructions.
- If the robot doesn’t restart, try charging for 30 minutes before resetting again.
